P.A.T.H. Housing Solutions was inspired by the personal journey of our founder, Randy Anglin. Randy’s parents were immigrants to the United States, arriving with very little. His father came to Florida on a work visa to labor in the sugar cane fields, but through hard work and determination, he became a U.S. citizen and, within a few years, purchased their first home.

For Randy’s parents, owning a home was more than just having a place to live—it was the foundation for stability and a better future. It gave them the ability to provide for their nine children, giving them access to education and community opportunities. As the youngest of the family, Randy witnessed firsthand how homeownership changed their lives. It wasn’t just about having a roof over their heads; it was about building a future.

Throughout his career, he noticed that homeownership was becoming harder to achieve for many families, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The dream of owning a home—once a cornerstone of the American Dream—was becoming elusive and inaccessible.

Randy’s experience managing residential multifamily properties further fueled his desire to create change. Over the course of more than a decade, he managed properties where tenants were often struggling with more than just housing. Many lacked access to basic necessities like food, clothing, and sanitation supplies.

 

Seeing these challenges firsthand, Randy took action in a particularly underserved community, connecting residents with essential resources and services, such as food banks, vocational training, and educational programs. His efforts sparked a shift within the community—residents began to thrive, becoming more engaged and taking pride in their surroundings.

The transformation was undeniable. Tenants not only improved their living conditions, but they also began to aspire for more—seeking education, better job opportunities, and even the possibility of owning their own homes!

 

This grassroots initiative inspired Randy to think bigger: What if there were a way to expand these efforts and offer a structured program that could guide people from renting to owning? It was through this reflection that P.A.T.H. Housing Solutions was born.
